Debut
60 capsules
The product is intended for adults and children over 7 years of age.
DEBUTIR is a food for special medical purposes in the form of capsules containing sodium butyrate in a mixture of acylglycerols (mono-, di- and triacylglycerols), coated with a sodium alginate membrane. Thanks to the innovative shell formula, sodium butyrate reaches the large intestine (colon).
What elements influence the proper functioning of the digestive tract?
The proper functioning of the intestines is influenced by such elements as: intestinal peristalsis, production of an appropriate amount of mucus, preserved continuity of the epithelium and its ability to regenerate quickly, the presence of natural bacterial flora in the intestines, proper blood supply to the gastrointestinal mucosa and an efficiently functioning local immune system.
What is worth knowing about butyric acid?
Butyric acid belongs to the group of short-chain fatty acids, which under physiological conditions are produced in the large intestine by bacterial fermentation of dietary fiber (fiber). Insufficient fiber supply may affect the lower level of endogenous short-chain fatty acids. Butyric acid is the basic energy material for the intestinal epithelium. Epithelium with proper continuity protects against the penetration of bacteria and toxins into the body from intestinal contents.
When is it recommended to use DEBUTIR?
Debutir is recommended for dietary treatment in:
- diseases of the large intestine accompanied by atrophic changes in the mucosa,
- irritable bowel syndrome (IBS),
- malabsorption disorders leading to nutrient deficiency, weight loss or abnormal growth in children,
- functional gastrointestinal disorders such as: chronic constipation, abdominal pain, abdominal bloating, dyspepsia, diarrhea,
- nutritional deficiencies (insufficient supply of dietary fiber, low-fiber diet),
- disorders of intestinal flora, including after long-term antibiotic therapy, in the course of some chronic diseases (diseases of the pancreas, liver, kidneys).
What is the innovation in DEBUTIR?
Butyric acid is the basic energy material for the intestinal epithelium.
The use of modern sodium butyrate granulation technology, unlike standard forms of butyric acid, protects it from complete use in the upper digestive tract and allows for the delivery of butyric acid to the small and large intestine (colon). The composition of the granulate is appropriately selected so that the sodium butyrate release process takes place along the entire length of the small and large intestine.
Has DEBUTIR been tested?
The sodium butyrate product was evaluated in a two-center, randomized, placebo-controlled trial. The quality of life and severity of symptoms (abdominal discomfort, defecation disorders) were assessed in 66 people with irritable bowel syndrome. In the study group, people received a sodium butyrate preparation (2 capsules daily) in addition to standard treatment. After three months of observation, in the group of people taking the sodium butyrate product in addition, the quality of life improved significantly, and the frequency and severity of the symptoms studied decreased. [3,4].
