Contractubex is a scar medication used after the wound has completely healed. Contractubex has antiproliferative, anti-inflammatory, smoothing and loosening effects on scar tissue.
Indications
Scars that restrict movement, enlarged (hypertrophic, swollen, keloid-shaped), unsightly post-operative scars, amputation scars, burn and accident scars, contractures, e.g. of the fingers (Dupuytren’s contracture), tendon contractures caused by injuries and scar shrinkage.
Active substance: Allantoinum , Allii cepae extractum , Heparinum natricum

Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
- Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, the medication is usually applied several times a day, rubbing gently into the skin or scar tissue.
- In the case of hardened and old scars, you can apply a dressing with Contractubex overnight.
- Treatment lasts from several weeks to several months, depending on the size of the scar or the presence of contracture.
- When treating fresh scars, physical stimuli such as low temperatures, UV radiation, too much rubbing and other mechanical irritations should be avoided.
Contraindications
When not to use Contractubex:
- if you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- for unhealed wounds;
- for scars covering large areas of skin;
- for damaged skin;
- on the mucous membranes.
