- The medicinal product for nail fungus is applied to the surface of the diseased fingernails or toenails once a week.
- Application twice a week may be beneficial in some cases.
Undofen Amorolfine should be applied to the surface of the affected toenails or fingernails once a week. The first effects of the treatment of fungus can be seen after about 2-3 months, because that is when a new, healthy nail plate begins to grow. It is therefore important to continue the treatment of nail fungus without interruption, until the nails regenerate and the affected surfaces are completely healed.
Before the first application of the medicine, the infected nail should be carefully filed, then its surface should be cleaned and degreased using the alcohol-soaked cotton pad included with the varnish. The Undofen Amorolfina nail fungus varnish should be applied with a spatula to the entire surface of the nail. After application, the varnish should be left to dry for about 5 minutes. The spatula should be cleaned after use using the same cotton pad that was used to clean the nail plate.
The duration of treatment depends primarily on the severity and location of the infection. Usually, the treatment lasts 6 months for fingernail fungus and about 9–12 months for toenail fungus. It is recommended to assess the effectiveness of the treatment at intervals of about 3 months.
