Xenna Extra Comfort contains dry extract of senna fruit. The extract is standardized to contain 20 mg of hydroxyanthracene glycosides per sennoside B.

• The active substance of Xenna Extra Comfort are sennosides present in the fruit of the Senna angustifoli shrub.
• The dry extract of these fruits is enclosed in a special coating that precisely releases the active substance in the intestine, i.e. where the problem occurs.

Dosage and method of use:

Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: If there are no other contraindications, the preparation is used as follows: 1 enteric-coated tablet once daily, one hour before bedtime; the expected laxative effect occurs after 8-12 hours. The tablet should be swallowed with a sufficient amount of liquid. Usually, it is enough to use the product 2-3 times a week. Duration of use: the preparation should not be used for a longer period of time (over 1-2 weeks) without consulting a doctor.

Contraindications:

Do not use the drug in case of known hypersensitivity (allergy) to the active substance or to any other ingredient of the preparation, as well as in case of intestinal obstruction, appendicitis, in case of acute inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g. Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis), in case of abdominal pain of unknown origin or in states of dehydration with loss of water and electrolytes. Do not give products containing senna to children under 12 years of age.

Composition:

Enteric-coated tablets, one tablet contains: 150-220 mg of dry senna fruit extract (4-6:1), equivalent to 20 mg of hydroxyanthracene glycosides expressed as sennoside B.
