What is Tabcin and how does it work?
Tabcin Trend by Bayer is a cold and flu medicine in capsules. The preparation relieves the symptoms of colds and flu, such as: fever, nasal congestion, headache, runny nose and sneezing.
Tabcin Trend is a complex preparation with combined action of ingredients. Active substances of the preparation:
- Chlorpheniramine, an antihistamine, relieves the symptoms of rhinitis (runny nose and sneezing) associated with flu and colds.
- Pseudoephedrine, a substance that constricts blood vessels, reduces swelling of the nasal mucosa and sinuses that occurs during a cold or flu, thus facilitating easy breathing.
- Paracetamol, a substance with analgesic and antipyretic effects, relieves pain accompanying infections, e.g. headache, sore throat, and general ailments accompanying flu and colds.
The Tabcin Trend product is recommended for use by adults and adolescents over 15 years of age. During treatment with the product, you cannot drink alcohol. It is also not recommended to use other preparations with paracetamol.
What are the indications for using Tabcin?
Relief of symptoms of flu and colds, including fever, runny nose, sore and scratchy throat, sneezing, headache, swelling of the nasal and sinus mucosa, and a general feeling of being unwell.

How to dose Tabcin?
Recommended dose for adults and adolescents (from 15 years of age)
- Swallow two Tabcin Trend capsules with a small amount of water.
- If necessary, the above dose may be repeated, but not more often than every 4 hours or more than 3 times a day.
The recommended dose should not be increased due to possible difficulties in falling asleep, dizziness and increased nervous excitability (especially in children).
Do not take this medicine for more than 5 days. If the fever persists for more than 3 days after starting to take the medicine, consult a doctor.
When not to use Tabcin?
- in children up to 15 years of age;
- in patients who are hypersensitive to the active substances or any of the excipients;
- in patients with respiratory diseases such as chronic bronchitis or emphysema;
- in patients with glaucoma, prostate enlargement, heart disease, hypertension, diabetes and hyperthyroidism;
- in patients taking antidepressants from the monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) group and for two weeks after their discontinuation and in patients treated with AZT (zidovudine)
- in patients with congenital glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency; (risk of hemolytic anemia);
- in patients with severe hepatic impairment
- in patients with severe renal impairment.
