What is Sinupret extract and what does it do?
Sinupret extract is a herbal medicine used to treat acute, uncomplicated inflammation of the paranasal sinuses in adults.
Sinupret extract tablets are intended for adults only. The duration of treatment is 7 to 14 days.
Indications for use of Sinupret extract
A herbal medicinal product indicated for use in adults in the treatment of acute uncomplicated inflammation of the paranasal sinuses (acute uncomplicated rhinosinusitis) with symptoms such as runny nose, nasal obstruction, headache, pain or a feeling of facial pressure.
Active substance: Gentianae radix , Primulae flos , Rumex crispus herba , Sambuci flos , Verbenae officinalis herba
Composition of Sinupret extract tablets
The active substance of the drug is a dry extract composed of: gentian root, primrose flower, sorrel herb, elderberry flower and verbena herb.
One coated tablet contains 160 mg of dry extract (DERprimary 3-6:1) consisting of: gentian root (Gentiana lutea L., radix), primrose flower (Primula veris L., flos), sorrel herb (Rumex crispus L., herba), elderberry flower (Sambucus nigra L.), verbena herb (Verbena officinalis L., herba) (1:3:3:3:3), extraction solvent: ethanol 51% (m/m).
The other ingredients are: sucrose, talc, calcium carbonate (E 170); microcrystalline cellulose; maltodextrin; cellulose, powder; hypromellose; dextrin; spray-dried gum arabic; hydrophobic silica, colloidal; colloidal silica, anhydrous; titanium dioxide (E 171); liquid glucose; magnesium stearate; stearic acid; chlorophyllin 25%, powder (chlorophyllin copper complex E 141, liquid glucose); indigo carmine aluminum lake (indigo carmine E 132, aluminum hydroxide); carnauba wax; riboflavin (E 101).
Dosage of Sinupret extract tablets
- Adults: 1 coated tablet 3 times daily (maximum 3 coated tablets daily).
- It is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age due to lack of sufficient data.
- Sinupret extract should be swallowed with liquid (e.g. a glass of water), without crushing or chewing, 3 times a day (morning, noon and evening). If the patient has a sensitive stomach, he should take Sinupret extract after meals.
- Unless otherwise stated, the duration of treatment is 7-14 days. If there is no improvement within this time or symptoms persist after this time, consult your doctor.

Contraindications to the use of Sinupret extract
- Allergy (hypersensitivity) to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
- Peptic ulcer disease.
