Pyrosal syrup is a preparation containing extracts from: willow bark, elderberry flower, linden flower and coltsfoot leaf.
Indications
Traditionally used as an aid in subfebrile states during inflammation, mainly of the upper respiratory tract.
The product is intended for traditional use in the above indications and its effectiveness is based solely on long-term use and experience.
Active substance: Salicis cortex , Sambuci flos , Tiliae inflorescentia , Tussilaginis farfarae folium
Composition
The active substance of the syrup is:
Fluid complex extract (1:1) from: coltsfoot leaf, elderberry flower, linden flower and willow bark Extractum compositum fluidum (1:1) ex: Farfarae folio (25 parts), Sambuci flore (30 parts), Tiliae flore (30 parts), Salicis cortice (15 parts). Extractant – ethanol 60% (V/V)
100 g of syrup contains 10 g of complex fluid extract (1:1) of: Tussilago farfara L. folium, (coltsfoot leaf), Sambucus nigra L. flos, (elderflower), Tilia cordata Miller, (Tilia platyphyllos Scop, Tilia vulgaris Heyne), flos, (linden flower), Salix purpurea L. (Salix daphnoides Vill., Salix fragilis L.), cortex, (willow bark) (25/30/30/15). Extractant – ethanol 60% (V/V)
Excipients: sucrose, purified water, currant concentrate, currant juice flavour condensate.
The syrup contains up to 1% (m/m) ethanol.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Dosage
Children aged 3 to 4 years after consultation with a doctor – 5 ml of syrup (1 teaspoon) 4 times a day.
Children aged 4 to 12 years – 15 ml of syrup (1 tablespoon) 3 times a day.
Adolescents over 12 years of age and adults – 30 ml of syrup (2 tablespoons) 3 times a day.
Method of administration
The medicine is to be taken orally. The syrup can be diluted in a small amount of boiled water.
Duration of use
If after 3 days there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, contact your doctor.
Taking more Pyrosal than recommended
No case of overdose with Pyrosal syrup has been reported.
If you forget to take Pyrosal
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
It is recommended to consult a doctor before using the medicine in children.
Contraindications
Pyrosal should not be used if the patient is allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
