What is Neosine forte and how does it work?
Neosine forte is a drug with antiviral action and increases the body’s immunity (stimulates the activity of the immune system).
Neosine forte is recommended for people with reduced immunity, in case of recurrent upper respiratory tract infections. Neosine forte is used in the treatment of cold sores of the lips and facial skin caused by the herpes simplex virus.
What are the indications for use of Neosine forte?
Supportively in people with reduced immunity, in case of recurrent upper respiratory tract infections.
For the treatment of cold sores on the lips and face caused by the herpes simplex virus.
Neosine forte can only be used in patients who have previously been diagnosed with herpes simplex virus infection.
Active substance: Inosinum pranobexum

How to use
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist. The medicine should be taken orally.
How to dose Neosine forte?
Adults, including the elderly (over 65 years of age):
- the recommended dose is 50 mg per kg of body weight per day – usually 1 g, i.e. 1 tablet 3 times a day.
Do not take more than 4 tablets per day.
Use of Neosine forte in children and adolescents
The medicine should not be used in children under 1 year of age.
Children over 1 year of age: the recommended dose is 50 mg per kg of body weight per day, given in several divided doses.
For children who cannot swallow tablets, it is recommended to administer Neosine forte in syrup.
Neosine forte contraindications
The medicinal product should not be used:
- if you are allergic to the active substance (inosine pranobex) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
- signs of an allergic reaction may include: skin rash, itching, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, throat or tongue;
- if you are currently having a gout attack (severe joint pain with swelling and redness of the skin or effusion in large joints) or tests have shown increased levels of uric acid in your blood.
Notes on use
The tablet should be taken with a large amount of liquid, preferably water. If you have difficulty swallowing the whole tablet, to make it easier to take the medicine, you can crush the tablet and dissolve it in a small amount of water.
Contents: The package contains 30 tablets in a cardboard box.
