Nasivin Sinex Aloes and Eucalyptus is a nasal spray used topically to relieve symptoms of nasal congestion occurring in colds or rhinitis, in adults and children aged 6 years and over.
The effect occurs after just a few minutes and lasts up to 12 hours.
Indications
Symptomatic treatment of nasal obstruction.
Active substance: Oxymetazoline hydrochloride
Composition
The active substance is oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.5 mg/ml.
The other ingredients of the drug are: sorbitol (E 420), sodium citrate (E 331), polysorbate, benzyl alcohol, anhydrous citric acid (E 330), aloe dry extract, benzalkonium chloride, levomenthol solution, acesulfame potassium (E 950), cineole , l-carvone, sisodium edetate, purified water.
Dosage
Before use, read the leaflet, which contains indications, contraindications, data on adverse effects and dosage, and information on the use of the medicinal product, or consult a doctor or pharmacist, as any drug used improperly may threaten your life or health.
The recommended dose is:
- Adults and children over 10 years of age: 1-2 sprays into each nostril no more than 2-3 times a day.
- Children aged 6 to 10 years: 1 spray into each nostril no more than 2-3 times a day.
- Children under 6 years of age – do not use.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
The medicine should not be used for a period longer than 5-7 days. If Nasivin Sinex Aloes and Eucalyptus is used for a longer period, it may cause a feeling of nasal congestion.
If symptoms worsen or do not improve within 3 days, consult your doctor.
Administration:
- Remove the cap. Hold the bottle upright with the nasal applicator inserted into one nostril. The other nostril should be closed.
- Spray and inhale deeply through your nose at the same time. Repeat to administer medication into the other nostril.
- Adults and children over 10 years of age can repeat steps 1 and 2 if necessary.
- Clean the nasal applicator with a damp, clean tissue and replace the protective cap on the applicator immediately after use.
When not to use Vicks Sinex Aloe and Eucalyptus?
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance, oxymetazoline hydrochloride, or any of the other ingredients of Nasivin Sinex Aloes and Eucalyptus
- if you are taking (or have taken in the last two weeks) monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO inhibitors are used to treat Parkinson’s disease and depression)
- if you have severe heart disease or shortness of breath due to heart failure
- if you have increased pressure in the eyeball (narrow-angle glaucoma)
- if the patient has had their pituitary gland removed
- if you have inflammation of the skin or nasal mucosa or have scabs in your nose
