Indications
Indications for use:
Acute and chronic diseases of the lungs and bronchi associated with impaired mucus secretion and impaired its transport.
Active substance: Ambroxol hydrochloride
Composition
- The active substance is ambroxol hydrochloride. 5 ml of syrup contains 30 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride.
- Additionally, the medicine contains: hydroxyethylcellulose, liquid, non-crystallizing sorbitol, glycerol 85%, benzoic acid, acesulfame potassium, strawberry flavor PHL-132200, vanilla flavor 201629, purified water.
Dosage
Always use Mucosolvan exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, contact your doctor or pharmacist. The usual dose of Mucosolvan is:
Adults and children over 12 years of age:
10 ml of syrup 2 times a day
The dose recommended for acute inflammation of the respiratory tract and in the initial period of treatment of chronic conditions, in the first 14 days of treatment.

The above dosage is recommended during the initial treatment period; the dosage may be reduced by half after 14 days of treatment.
Mucosolvan syrup can be taken with or without food.
Do not use in children without consulting a doctor.
If the symptoms do not improve when using Mucosolvan during acute respiratory diseases, consult a doctor.
If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 4-5 days, contact your doctor.

Taking more Mucosolvan than recommended
If you take more Mucosolvan than you should, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
No specific symptoms of overdose have been observed in humans to date. Based on accidental overdose and/or misuse reports, symptoms observed are consistent with known adverse reactions to the drug at recommended doses and may require symptomatic treatment.
Missing the use of Mucosolvan
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Take your next dose at the usual time.

Contraindications
When not to use Mucosolvan
- If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to ambroxol hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of Mucosolvan;
- If you have a hereditary intolerance to any of the ingredients of the medicine (see section “Important information about some of the ingredients of Mucosolvan”).
Contents: Bottle containing 100 ml of syrup, closed with a polyethylene cap, provided with a measuring cup with a 5 ml scale, placed in a cardboard box.
Storage method: 15°C – 25°C
