Magnefar B6 Forte – description and operation
Magnefar Magnefar B6 Forte contains magnesium ions and pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6).
Magnesium is a cation that is essential for the proper course of many biochemical processes in the body. Its biological role is to activate a number of enzymes. It plays an important role in the process of cardiac muscle contraction and affects the state of neuromuscular excitability.
Magnesium is only partially absorbed from the digestive tract, mainly in the small intestine, with the degree of absorption depending on the content in food. Magnesium deficiency can cause disorders of the muscular system and the central nervous system.
Magnefar Magnefar B6 Forte is recommended for the treatment and prevention of magnesium deficiency.
The following symptoms may indicate magnesium deficiency :
- nervousness, irritability, mood swings, mild anxiety, restlessness, transient fatigue, drowsiness, mild sleep disturbances;
- symptoms of anxiety, such as gastrointestinal cramps or heart palpitations (without heart disorders);
- muscle spasms, tingling, eyelid twitching.
Magnesium supplementation can alleviate the above symptoms of deficiency. If there is no improvement after a month of taking Magnefar B6 Forte, continuing treatment is not recommended.

Magnefar Magnefar B6 Forte is recommended for the treatment and prevention of magnesium deficiency.

Composition of Magnefar B6 Forte
Active substances | One film-coated tablet contains 100 mg of magnesium ions in the form of magnesium citrate (Magnesii citras) and 10.10 mg of pyridoxine hydrochloride (Pyridoxini hydrochloridum). |
Other ingredients | Tablet core: microcrystalline cellulose, crospovidone (type A), croscarmellose sodium, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate.
Tablet coating: polyvinyl alcohol, talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), glycerol monocaprylocaproate (type 1), sodium lauryl sulfate. |
How to take Magnefar B6 Forte?
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Adults:
- 3 to 4 tablets daily, in 2 or 3 divided doses, with meals.
The score line on the tablet only helps to break it for easier swallowing.
Children and adolescents:
For children, dosage recommendations are as follows:

Use of the drug in children and adolescents
Magnefar B6 Forte medicines are used in adults and children aged 6 years or over.
When should you not take Magnefar B6 Forte?
- if you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
- if you have hypermagnesemia (increased levels of magnesium in the blood);
- if you have acute renal failure (creatinine clearance < 30 ml/min);
- if you have severe hypotension;
- if you have atrioventricular block;
- if you have a disease called myasthenia gravis (an acquired, chronic disease characterized by rapid tiredness and weakness of the skeletal muscles).
