Indications

Ketonal Sprint Max  is used in adults and adolescents aged 16 years or older for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate acute pain, such as:

• headache
• toothache
• painful menstruation
• pain caused by minor strains and sprains

Dosage

Adults and adolescents aged 16 years and over:

Half a two-part sachet up to three times daily or one whole two-part sachet up to two times daily.

Contraindications

When not to take Ketonal Sprint Max

• if you are allergic to ketoprofen or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
• if you have had an allergic reaction to acetylsalicylic acid or a painkiller such as ketoprofen, ibuprofen or diclofenac in the past, such as:
• asthma attack, difficulty breathing
• swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat
• hives, nasal itching and watery nasal discharge
• other types of allergic reactions

Severe, rarely fatal, allergic reactions have been reported in such patients.

• if you have had asthma;
• if you have a stomach or duodenal ulcer or have had gastrointestinal bleeding, ulceration or perforation in the past;
• if you have a digestive tract disease such as ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease;
• if you have severe heart failure;
• if you have severe liver or kidney problems;
• if you have a tendency to bleed;
• if you are in the third trimester of pregnancy.
