Indications
Ketonal Sprint Max is used in adults and adolescents aged 16 years or older for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate acute pain, such as:
- headache
- toothache
- painful menstruation
- pain caused by minor strains and sprains
Dosage
Adults and adolescents aged 16 years and over:
Half a two-part sachet up to three times daily or one whole two-part sachet up to two times daily.
Contraindications
When not to take Ketonal Sprint Max
- if you are allergic to ketoprofen or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
- if you have had an allergic reaction to acetylsalicylic acid or a painkiller such as ketoprofen, ibuprofen or diclofenac in the past, such as:
- asthma attack, difficulty breathing
- swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat
- hives, nasal itching and watery nasal discharge
- other types of allergic reactions
Severe, rarely fatal, allergic reactions have been reported in such patients.
- if you have had asthma;
- if you have a stomach or duodenal ulcer or have had gastrointestinal bleeding, ulceration or perforation in the past;
- if you have a digestive tract disease such as ulcerative colitis or Crohn’s disease;
- if you have severe heart failure;
- if you have severe liver or kidney problems;
- if you have a tendency to bleed;
- if you are in the third trimester of pregnancy.
