Indications

• in the prevention of conditions associated with vitamin D deficiency in adults with normal body weight and children and adolescents with normal body weight aged 11 years and over;
• in supportive treatment of osteoporosis in adults;
• in the prevention of vitamin D deficiency in women planning a pregnancy, pregnant and breastfeeding, in consultation with a doctor. Prophylactic taking of vitamin D is recommended in months of insufficient exposure to sunlight (from October to April).

Composition

The active substance is cholecalciferol. Each capsule contains 50 micrograms of cholecalciferol equivalent to 2000 IU of vitamin D. – Other ingredients are: capsule contents: purified safflower oil, capsule shell composition: gelatin, glycerol, purified water, medium chain triglycerides.

Dosage

Prevention of vitamin D deficiency and conditions resulting from vitamin D deficiency in adults and children and adolescents aged 11 years and over – usually 2000 IU (1 capsule) daily.

Supportive treatment for osteoporosis in adults – usually 2000 IU (1 capsule) daily, regardless of the season.

Prevention of vitamin D deficiency in women planning a pregnancy, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in consultation with a doctor – the usually recommended dose is 2000 IU (1 capsule) per day, regardless of the season, unless the doctor recommends a different dosage.

The capsules should be swallowed whole with water, preferably during a main meal.

Contraindications

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug.
