Indications
- local treatment of muscle pain,
- treatment of pain in the course of degenerative joint diseases, rheumatic diseases of the peripheral joints and spine,
- treatment of inflammatory changes in periarticular tissues (e.g. synovial bursae, tendons, tendon sheaths, ligaments and joint capsules),
- treatment of painful shoulder stiffness, pain in the lumbar spine, post-traumatic changes related to sports or accidents (e.g. bruises, sprains).
Composition
- The active substance is ibuprofen.
- Other ingredients are: isopropyl alcohol, solketal (2,2-dimethyl-4-hydroxymethyl-1,3-dioxalane), poloxamer 407, medium chain triglycerides (Miglyol 812), lavender oil, orange oil, purified water.
Dosage
- Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
- Local application, to the skin. Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, a strip of gel 4 to 10 cm long (2 g to 5 g of gel, which is equivalent to 100 mg to 250 mg of ibuprofen) is usually applied to the skin and rubbed in 3 to 4 times a day. If necessary, the medicine can be applied more often, but not more often than every 4 hours.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
- If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to acetylsalicylic acid or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
- If you have had in the past: urticaria, allergic rhinitis, asthma after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs.
- IBUPROM SPORT is not recommended for the treatment of children under 14 years of age.
