- Ibuprom is indicated for short-term use in the treatment of pain of various origins of mild to moderate intensity, including: headaches, toothaches, muscle pain, low back pain, bone and joint pain, and menstrual pain.
- In case of fever (including flu, colds or other infectious diseases).
- Ibuprom is an analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic drug.
Dosage:
- Children from 6 to 9 years (body weight 20-29 kg): orally 1 tablet every 6-8 hours after meals. Do not exceed 3 tablets per day.
- Children from 10 to 12 years (body weight 30-39 kg): orally 1 tablet every 6 hours after meals. Do not exceed 4 tablets per day.
- Adults and children over 12 years: orally 1 to 2 tablets every 4 hours after meals. Do not exceed 6 tablets per day.
No dosage adjustment is required in the elderly. Adverse reactions may be minimized by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms.
If the medicinal product is required for longer than 3 days or the patient’s condition worsens, the patient should be advised to seek medical advice.
Composition:
1 coated tablet contains: 200 mg ibuprofen.
The active substance is ibuprofen.
Excipients: Tablet core: cellulose powder, corn starch, pregelatinized starch, Guar gum, talc, crospovidone (type A), colloidal hydrated silica, hydrogenated vegetable oil; Coating composition: hydroxypropylcellulose, macrogol 400, talc, gelatin, sucrose, kaolin, packaged sugar (mixture of sucrose and corn starch), calcium carbonate, acacia gum, titanium dioxide (E 171), white dye – Opalux White AS 7000, Carnauba wax, black ink – Opacode Black S-1-17823.
When not to use Ibuprom:
- If you are allergic to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients of this medicine and to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
- If you have ever had allergy symptoms such as a runny nose, hives or bronchial asthma after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
- In patients with active gastric and/or duodenal ulcer, or a history of perforation or bleeding, including those occurring after NSAID treatment.
- In patients with severe hepatic failure, severe renal failure or severe heart failure.
- In patients taking other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs concomitantly, including COX-2 inhibitors.
- In the third trimester of pregnancy.
- In case of bleeding diathesis.
