IBUMAX 400 mg contains ibuprofen – a substance from the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which have analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects.
Indications
Indications for use of the drug are:
- Pain of various origins of mild to moderate intensity:
- headaches (including migraines)
- toothache
- muscle, joint and bone pain
- neuralgia
- pains associated with colds and flu
- Painful menstruation
- Fever of various origins (including influenza, colds or other infectious diseases)

Other ingredients | pregelatinized corn starch, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium lauryl sulfate, stearic acid, colloidal anhydrous silica, coating – hypromellose, microlog 4000, polydextrose, titanium dioxide (E 171). |
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The medicine is intended for oral use only, in adults and children over 12 years of age.
Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 tablet every four hours. No more than three tablets should be taken in a 24-hour period (maximum daily dose 1200 mg in divided doses).
If in children and adolescents the medicinal product is used for more than 3 days, or if symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted.
Elderly: no dosage adjustment is required.
Do not increase the recommended dose!
If you feel that the effect of IBUMAX 400 mg is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor.
The medicine is intended for short-term use.
The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest possible period. This reduces the risk of adverse effects.
Do not take this medicine for more than 3 days unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
The drug is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age. There is a risk of renal failure in dehydrated children and adolescents.
Contraindications
When not to use IBUMAX 400 mg:
- if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine or to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs),
- with active or history of gastric and/or duodenal ulcer, perforation or bleeding, also after NSAID use,
- who have ever experienced allergy symptoms such as runny nose, hives or bronchial asthma during treatment with acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,
- with severe hepatic failure, severe renal failure or severe heart failure,
- taking other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, including COX-2 inhibitors (increases the risk of side effects),
- in the last three months of pregnancy,
- with hemorrhagic diathesis
