Ibum Supermax 600 mg, 10 softgels

Ibum Supermax is a strong medicine for acute pain – it contains the highest dose of ibuprofen available on the Polish over-the-counter medicine market in the form of a soft capsule – as much as 600 mg. The soft gelatin capsule disintegrates in the stomach, releasing the medicine ready to be absorbed.

Ibum Supermax has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects . It is intended for use by adults.

Ibum Supermax is:

• The only 600 mg ibuprofen capsule on the market available without a prescription.
• Acute Pain Response – for occasional, short-term use in adults for acute and moderate pain of various origins.
• Liquid form of ibuprofen – the capsule contains ibuprofen in a liquid, dissolved and ready-to-absorb form.
• Soft capsule, easy to swallow.

Ibum Supermax is a pain medication for short-term, emergency use in acute, moderate pain of various origins:

• toothache
• headaches (including migraines)
• muscle and bone pain (including back pain)
• post-traumatic and post-operative pain, including pain related to dental surgery
• painful menstruation
• neuralgia.

The active substance of Ibum Supermax is ibuprofen. One capsule contains 600 mg of ibuprofen.

Other ingredients (excipients) are: macrogol 400, potassium hydroxide 50%, capsule shell: gelatin, liquid partially dehydrated sorbitol, quinoline yellow (E 104), patent blue (E 131).

Ibum Supermax is intended for short-term oral use. The capsule should be swallowed whole with a glass of water.

Adults:

• The recommended dose is 600 mg ibuprofen (1 capsule) at a time.
• If necessary, a single dose of 600 mg (1 capsule) may be repeated after an interval of 6-8 hours.
• The maximum dose is 1200 mg ibuprofen (2 capsules) per day. If symptoms do not subside within 3 days or become more severe, it is recommended to consult a doctor.
• Ibum Supermax should only be used if the patient does not feel any improvement after taking ibuprofen at a dose of 400 mg (maximum 1200 mg ibuprofen/day). In such a case, a dose of 600 mg can be used taking into account a 6-8 hour break from taking the dose of 400 mg.
• Elderly people and patients suffering from kidney or liver failure should not use Ibum Supermax without consulting a doctor.
• Food reduces the absorption of ibuprofen from the gastrointestinal tract.

Ibum Supermax is contraindicated:

• if you are allergic to any of the ingredients of the medicine;
• in patients with active or recurrent gastric and/or duodenal ulcer, perforation or bleeding, including after treatment with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs);
• in patients who experienced any allergy symptoms such as runny nose, hives, shortness of breath or bronchial asthma during treatment with NSAIDs;
• if you have severe liver, kidney or heart failure;
• if you have bleeding in the brain or other bleeding;
• in patients with bleeding diathesis;
• in severely dehydrated patients;
• in the last 3 months of pregnancy;
• in patients under 18 years of age.
