What is Herbapect syrup and what does it do?
Herbapect syrup is a drug recommended for use in upper respiratory tract inflammation. Herbapect syrup is recommended for “dry cough” and in case of difficulty expectoration.
Herbapect is sugar-free and has an optimal combinationthyme extract, primrose tincture and potassium sulfoguaiacol ensure effectiveness in combating cough and clearing the respiratory tract.
Herbapect syrup – indications
Traditionally in cases of upper respiratory tract infections:
- a tiring so-called “dry cough”,
- difficult expectoration.
Active substance: Primulae radix , Sulfogaiacolum , Thymi extractum fluidum
Herbapect syrup composition
Active substance | 5 ml of syrup contains active substances: 498 mg of thyme herb liquid extract (Thymus vulgaris L., herba) (1:2), extraction solvent: ethanol 30% (V/V), ammonia water 25%, glycerol 95%; 349 mg of primrose root tincture (Primula veris L., radix) (1:5) extraction solvent ethanol 70% (V/V); 87 mg of sulfoguaiacol (Sulfogaiacolum) |
Other ingredients | and excipients with known effect: liquid, non-crystallizing sorbitol (E420). Contains 6.4 – 9.0% (V/V) ethanol. |
How to dose Herbapect syrup?
- Adults: 5 ml of syrup 3 to 4 times a day, after meals.
- Children over 4 years of age and adolescents up to 18 years of age: 2.5 ml of syrup 3 to 4 times a day after meals, not more often than every 4 hours.
The package includes a measuring cup to facilitate dosing, which should be used to measure the medicinal product.
Children
The medicinal product is not recommended for use in children under 4 years of age.
Maximum daily dose:
Do not take more than 20 ml of syrup per day.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Herbapect syrup – contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the active substances or excipients included in the medicinal product;
- asthma;
- should not be used in children who have had acute laryngitis (croup).
Contents: The package contains 240 g of syrup.
