Flegamina facilitates expectoration and cleansing of the bronchi. Flegamina is used in cases of acute and chronic respiratory diseases, occurring with disorders of expectoration and removal of mucus.
Flegamina contains the active substance bromhexine hydrochloride, which is an expectorant drug that liquefies secretions from the respiratory tract.
Indications
The indications for the use of Flegamina are acute and chronic respiratory diseases
associated with impaired expectoration and removal of mucus.

Composition
One tablet contains: | 8 mg bromhexine hydrochloride |
excipients: lactose monohydrate, sodium carboxymethyl starch, magnesium stearate. |
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Oral medicine.
The medicine is usually used as follows:
Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 tablet 3 times a day.
Children aged 6 to 12 years: ½ tablet 3 times a day.
Children aged 3 to 6 years: ½ tablet 2 times a day
It is not recommended to use Flegamina Classic in tablet form in children aged 3 to 6 years who are unable to swallow tablets; in these patients it is recommended to use the medicine in the form of Flegamina Classic strawberry syrup
The medicine should be taken at regular intervals, after a meal.
Do not use immediately before going to bed.
The medicine is usually used for 7 to 10 days.
If symptoms worsen or do not subside, you should contact your doctor.
If you feel that the effect of the medicine is too strong or too weak, you should contact your doctor.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
Flegamina Classic tablets should not be used in children aged 3 to 6 years who are unable to swallow tablets. In these patients, it is recommended to use bromhexine in the form of Flegamina Classic syrup with strawberry flavor.
Flegamina Classic syrup with strawberry flavor and Flegamina Classic tablets, due to the content of bromhexine, should not be administered to children under 2 years of age.
Contraindications
When not to use Flegamina
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to bromhexine or any of the excipients of the drug.
- in children aged 3 to 6 years who are unable to swallow tablets; in these patients it is recommended to use bromhexine in the form of Flegamina syrup with strawberry flavour. Flegamina syrup with strawberry flavour and Flegamina Classic tablets, due to the content of bromhexine, should not be administered to children under 2 years of age.
