Fiprex is a line of veterinary medicinal products designed to combat ticks, fleas and lice in dogs. Fiprex SPOT-ON is a solution for spotting directly onto the skin. The active substance contained in Fiprex line preparations is fipronil – an insecticide and acaricide, combining high effectiveness in eliminating ticks and fleas with low toxicity for the animal and its environment and, above all, for humans. Products from the Fiprex line eliminate most ticks bitten into the skin of your quadruped within 24-48 hours of application, while in relation to fleas present and bitten into the skin – they act practically immediately – killing them. Products from the Fiprex line create a protective layer on the animal’s skin, effectively protecting against re-invasion of ticks for up to 4 weeks and against re-invasion of fleas for up to 8 weeks.
The preparations do not prevent the tick from attaching itself to the animal’s skin. After killing, the ticks usually fall off the dog or cat, but those that remain can be removed by gently shaking them off.
Fiprex is resistant to water and sunlight, but animals should not be bathed 2 days before or 2 days after the preparation is administered. In order to obtain an optimal effect, the products should be administered with a minimum of 4-week intervals between subsequent applications. It is always necessary to take into account the current level of flea and tick invasion in a given area.
FAQ, or frequently asked questions.
1. How long does it take for Fiprex to work?
The preparation has an immediate killing effect on fleas, while ticks die within 48 hours.
2. Is it allowed to bathe the pet while administering Fiprex?
The pet must not be bathed for 48 hours before or 48 hours after administering the deworming drops.
3. How often should the product be used on dogs and how often on cats?
Fiprex is effective for 8 weeks against fleas and 4 weeks against ticks. However, it should be remembered that due to the special hygiene of cats, the product can be licked off. 4. How to administer flea and tick drops?
Hold the pipette vertically. Tap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that the contents remain in the main body of the pipette. Snap off the tip. Part the fur on the animal’s back at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the pipette tip on the skin and squeeze the pipette several times to completely empty the contents directly onto the skin in one place.
