Fervex with raspberry flavor – granules for preparation of oral solution in sachets is a complex drug.

• Paracetamol has an analgesic and antipyretic effect.
• Pheniramine maleate reduces congestion and swelling of the mucous membranes, thereby unblocking the nasal passages, inhibiting the sneezing reflex and eye tearing.
• Ascorbic acid replenishes vitamin C deficiencies in the body.

Fervex is used for the short-term treatment of flu, cold and flu-like symptoms (headache, fever, rhinopharyngitis) in adults and children over 15 years of age.

In the event of a bacterial infection, it may be necessary to administer antibiotic treatment. This will be decided by the attending physician.

Always use FERVEX raspberry flavor exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are not sure, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Adults and children over 15 years of age: 1 sachet 2 or 3 times a day. Breaks in the administration of subsequent doses should be at least 4 hours.
The contents of the sachet should be dissolved in a glass of hot or cold water.
Do not use for longer than 5 days without consulting a doctor.
In the treatment of flu-like conditions, it is better to take the medicine dissolved in hot water, in the evening, as soon as possible after the onset of symptoms.

Use of FERVEX with raspberry flavour in patients with renal and/or hepatic impairment
In case of renal impairment (creatinine clearance below 10 ml/min), an interval of at least 8 hours should be maintained between doses.

Taking more FERVEX raspberry flavour than recommended
Symptoms related to pheniramine
Overdose of pheniramine may cause: convulsions (especially in children), impaired consciousness, coma.

Symptoms related to paracetamol
The elderly and young children are at particular risk of paracetamol poisoning (the most common causes are taking doses higher than recommended and accidental poisoning); these poisonings can lead to death.
Accidental or intentional overdose of the drug can cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, excessive sweating, drowsiness and general weakness within a few to a dozen or so hours. These symptoms may disappear the next day, despite the fact that liver damage begins to develop, which then makes itself felt by epigastric distension, recurrence of nausea and jaundice.
Taking more than 10 g of paracetamol in adults or 150 mg/kg of body weight in a single dose in children causes complete and irreversible necrosis of liver cells.
If you take a higher dose than recommended, you should immediately contact your doctor or pharmacist.

If you forget to use FERVEX raspberry flavor
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Do not use FERVEX raspberry flavour if you have:

• Hypersensitivity (allergy) to the active substances or any of the excipients.
• Severe liver or kidney failure.
• Narrow-angle glaucoma.
• Enlargement of the prostate gland with difficult urination.
• Age under 15 years.
• Not to be used in patients with fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency due to the sucrose content in the drug.
