What is Erdomed Muko 225 mg?
Erdomed Muko is a drug containing the active substance erdosteine . It belongs to the group of mucolytic drugs, reducing the viscosity of mucus in the respiratory tract and facilitating its expectoration.

What are the indications for use of Erdomed Muko 225 mg?
Erdomed Muko is used to thin and facilitate expectoration of mucous secretions from the respiratory tract, as a supporting drug in the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory tract diseases, such as inflammation of the nose, sinuses, larynx, trachea, bronchi and lungs.

Composition of Erdomed Muko sachets
The active substance of the drug is erdosteine. One sachet contains 225 mg of erdosteine.
The other ingredients are: sucrose, sodium starch glycolate (type A), silicon dioxide, sucralose (E 955), anhydrous malic acid, orange flavour [corn maltodextrin, flavouring substances (including, among others, citral, benzyl alcohol, linalool), α-tocopherol (E 307)].
How to dose Erdomed Muko 225 mg?
Before use, read the leaflet, which contains indications, contraindications, data on adverse effects and dosage, and information on the use of the medicinal product, or consult a doctor or pharmacist, as any drug used improperly may threaten your life or health.
Recommended dose:
- Use in children from 12 years of age: 1 sachet 2 times a day.
- Adult use: 1 sachet 2 or 3 times a day.
- Dose adjustments are not required in adults for exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

When should you not use Erdomed Muko 225 mg?
- if you are allergic to the active substance, any of the other ingredients of this medicine or to substances containing free SH groups (e.g. acetylcysteine);
- if you have liver problems;
- if you have renal failure (creatinine clearance <25 ml/min);
- if you have homocystinuria (a genetic metabolic disease resulting from abnormal metabolism of the amino acid methionine);
- in children under 12 years of age.
Contents: Erdomed Muko is a powder for oral suspension. The package contains 20 sachets.
