Efferalgan 150 mg, 10 suppositories

Indications for use:
– symptomatic treatment of flu-like conditions and colds
– pain of various origins
– fever

The active substance of the drug is paracetamol.

1 suppository contains the active substance: paracetamol (Paracetamolum) in a dose of 150 mg in one suppository weighing 1 g

Other ingredients: semi-synthetic glycerides.

– Efferalgan suppositories should be used rectally.

– When administering to children, the dosage should be in relation to body weight.

– in the form of suppositories, the medicine is intended for infants and children weighing 8 to 12 kg (aged approximately 6 to 24 months): the appropriate dose is 1 suppository of 150 mg, it can be repeated if necessary every 6 hours, do not use more than 4 suppositories per day.

– recommended daily dose: 60 mg per kg of body weight, to be administered in 4 divided doses, i.e. 15 mg/kg b.w. every 6 hours.

– the period of use of suppositories should be as short as possible.

– the medicine can be used in children under 2 years of age only when prescribed by a doctor.

Do not use Efferalgan, rectal suppositories:
– if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients of Efferalgan, rectal suppositories,
– if you have severe liver or kidney failure
, – if you have alcoholism,
– if you have glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency,
– if you are being treated with MAO inhibitors (drugs used, among others, in depression) and within 14 days after finishing treatment,
– in the case of concomitant use with painkillers with agonist-antagonist effects: buprenorphine, nalbuphine, pentazocine
, – if you have recently had inflammation of the anus, rectum or bleeding from the anus.
