What is Coldrex MaxGrip and how does it work?
Coldrex MaxGrip is a drug with analgesic and antipyretic effects, constricting the blood vessels of the nasal mucosa and reducing its congestion, and as a result unblocking the nose and sinuses.
Coldrex MaxGrip contains vitamin C.
What are the indications for using Coldrex MaxGrip?
Coldrex MaxGrip is indicated for short-term, symptomatic treatment of flu or cold, with fever, chills, headache, sore throat, rhinitis (runny nose).
If after 3 days there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, contact your doctor.
Active substance: Acidum ascorbicum , Paracetamolum , Phenylephrinum
What does Coldrex MaxGrip contain?
The active substances of the drug are: paracetamol, phenylephrine hydrochloride and ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Each sachet contains 1000 mg of paracetamol, 10 mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride and 40 mg of ascorbic acid.
The other ingredients are: sucrose, anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, corn starch, sodium cyclamate, sodium saccharin, anhydrous colloidal silica, lemon flavour, curcumin (E100).
How to use Coldrex MaxGrip?
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor, pharmacist or nurse has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.
Use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age:
One sachet of Coldrex MaxGrip every 4 to 6 hours. Do not take the medicine more often than every 4 hours or use more than 4 sachets in 24 hours. Do not use more than the recommended dose.
Always use the lowest possible effective dose of the medicine.
Method of administration
Before administration, the powder should be dissolved in warm water.
Pour the contents of one sachet into a glass, fill halfway with warm water, mix well and drink. If necessary, add cold water or sweeten.
Do not use the medicine regularly for longer than 3 days without consulting a doctor.
If symptoms of the disease persist, consult a doctor.
If you feel that the effect of the medicine is too strong or too weak, consult a doctor.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
Do not give this medicine to children under 12 years of age.
When should you not use Coldrex MaxGrip?
- If you are allergic to paracetamol, phenylephrine, ascorbic acid or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
- in people with liver failure or severe kidney failure,
- in people with alcoholism,
- in people taking zidovudine (used to treat HIV infection),
- in people taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and within 2 weeks after their last use.
Coldrex MaxGrip should not be given to children under 12 years of age.
