Indications
Claritine Allergy is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria.
Active substance: Loratadinum
Composition
One ml of syrup contains 1 mg of Loratadinum (loratadine). Excipient with known effect: 1 ml of syrup contains 0.6 g of sucrose. For a full list of excipients, see section 6.1 of the Summary of Product Characteristics (SPC).
Dosage
Dosage
Adults and children over 12 years of age: 10 mg (10 ml of syrup – 2 x 5 ml scoops) once daily. The medicinal product can be taken regardless of meals.
Children aged 6 to 12 years: Body weight greater than 30 kg: 10 mg (10 ml of syrup – 2 x 5 ml scoops) once daily. Body weight 30 kg or less: Claritine Allergy is not recommended. The safety and efficacy of the product have not been established in children under 2 years of age. In patients with severe hepatic impairment, a lower starting dose should be used, as the clearance of loratadine in these individuals may be reduced. In such cases, adults and children weighing more than 30 kg should be given 10 mg of loratadine (as tablets or syrup) every other day. There is no need to change the dose in elderly patients or patients with renal impairment.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active substance (loratadine) or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1 of the SPC. Do not use Claritine Allergy during pregnancy.
