BiotinoZin, 10 mg + 25 mg Zn2+, 30 tablets

BiotinoZin contains two active substances: biotin and zinc gluconate. Biotin (vitamin H) is a water-soluble vitamin, classified as a B vitamin. Biotin supports hair and nail growth and improves skin condition by influencing keratinization and cell differentiation processes. Zinc is one of the essential trace elements involved in cellular transformations. It ensures proper functioning of the skin and mucous membranes and limits hair loss. Its deficiency causes hair to dry out, and with a significant deficiency, hair may fall out and break. Zinc has a beneficial effect on wound healing processes and tissue regeneration.

BiotinoZin is indicated for use in the treatment of biotin and zinc deficiency with symptoms such as: hair loss, hair and nail growth disorders and their excessive brittleness, inflammation of the skin located around the eyes, nose, mouth and ears, and in preventing the consequences of deficiencies, but after other causes have been excluded by a doctor.

If after 4 weeks there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, contact your doctor.

The active substances of the drug are: biotin and zinc in the form of zinc gluconate. Each tablet contains 10 mg of biotin and 25 mg of zinc ions in the form of zinc gluconate.

The other ingredients are: crospovidone (type A), microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K30, lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium, sodium lauryl sulfate, magnesium stearate.

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

BiotinoZin should be taken orally with water. The medicine is usually taken about 2 hours before or 2 hours after a meal.

Adults:
The recommended dose is 5 mg biotin and 12.5 mg zinc ions per day, which is half a tablet.
The tablet can be divided into equal doses.
In case of severe symptoms, the recommended dose is 10 mg biotin and 25 mg zinc ions per day (1 tablet) for 4 weeks. The dose should then be reduced to 5 mg biotin and 12.5 mg zinc ions.

The duration of treatment depends on the patient’s condition and the course of the disease. Symptoms have been observed to subside after about 4 weeks of using the drug.
BiotinoZin should not be used for longer than 4 weeks without consulting a doctor.

If the doctor decides to start treatment, he or she may recommend a different dosage of the drug.

Note: the medicine should be used regularly.

If you use more BiotinoZin than you should
If you use more than the recommended dose of the medicine, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Symptoms associated with an overdose of BiotinoZin:
gastrointestinal disturbances (abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting), metallic taste on the tongue, drowsiness, headache, anemia (reduced red blood cell count) and dizziness.

If you miss a dose of BiotinoZin
, use the medicine as soon as possible.
If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue using the medicine as usual.

BiotinoZin is not intended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

• if you are allergic to biotin and/or zinc or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
• simultaneously with nutritional preparations containing many vitamins and minerals, including biotin and zinc due to the possibility of overdose.
