Aspar Espefa Premium 250mg + 250mg, 150 tablets

The drug Aspar Espefa Premium contains easily digestible salts – magnesium and potassium of aspartic acid, which is an important building component of the body. It supplements magnesium and potassium deficiencies that may cause disorders of energy metabolism of cells and permeability of their membranes, changes in muscle contractility, nerve conduction and reduced stability of blood platelets.

Supplementation of magnesium and potassium deficiencies (not requiring intravenous administration of the elements):

• in case of arrhythmias and hyperactivity of the heart, especially due to magnesium and potassium deficiency;
• as a preventive measure in cases of ischemic heart disease and at risk of heart attack;
• in post-infarction convalescence;
• after infectious diseases or surgical procedures that resulted in loss of magnesium and potassium;
• as a drug to counteract the side effects of long-term use of cardiac glycosides and diuretics (e.g. thiazides, furosemide).

The active substances of the drug are magnesium hydrogen aspartate (Magnesii hydroaspartas) and potassium hydrogen aspartate (Kalii hydroaspartas). 1 tablet contains 250 mg of magnesium hydrogen aspartate and 250 mg of potassium hydrogen aspartate, which corresponds to 17 mg of magnesium ions and 54 mg of potassium ions. 

Other ingredients (excipients) are: povidone, croscarmellose sodium, colloidal anhydrous silica, talc, magnesium stearate.

This medicine is taken orally.
The recommended dose is 2 to 6 tablets per day in divided doses.
It is assumed that the total daily requirement of the body for magnesium does not exceed 5 mg/kg of body weight, and in the prevention of potassium deficiency, up to 780 mg of ions per day is administered.

• If you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
• if you have kidney failure;
• if you have a urinary tract infection;
• if the patient has hyperkalemia, hypermagnesemia;
• if you have atrioventricular block;
• if you suffer from myasthenia gravis.
