What is Allertec Effect and how does it work?
Allertec Effect contains the active substance bilastine, which has antihistamine properties. Allertec Effect is used for antiallergic purposes to relieve symptoms in the nose, eyes and skin.
What are the indications for use of Allertec Effect?
- Allertec Effect is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinoconjunctivitis and urticaria.
- Allertec Effect is used in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over to relieve the symptoms of hay fever (runny nose, blocked nose, sneezing, itching, and red and watery eyes) and other forms of allergic rhinitis and allergic conjunctivitis (swelling, itching, red and watery eyes). The medicine can also be used to treat itchy skin rashes (wheals or hives). Bilastine stops the formation of wheals and skin redness for 24 hours after taking a single dose, which improves the quality of sleep and quality of life.
The medicine should not be used for more than 10 days without consulting a doctor.
If symptoms do not subside after 3 days, contact your doctor.

What does Allertec Effect contain?
The active substance is bilastine. Each tablet contains 20 mg of bilastine.
The other ingredients are: mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate (type A), magnesium aluminometasilicate, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica.
How to use Allertec Effect?
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose for adults, including the elderly, and adolescents aged 12 years and over is 1 tablet (20 mg) daily.
Method of administration:
- Tablet for oral administration.
- The tablet should be taken one hour before or two hours after any meal or fruit juice.
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water.
The medicine should not be used for more than 10 days without consulting a doctor.
If symptoms do not subside after 3 days, contact your doctor.
Use of Allertec Effect in children and adolescents
Do not give Allertec Effect to children under 12 years of age.
When should you not use Allertec Effect?
If you are allergic to bilastine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
