Indications
Symptomatic treatment of seasonal and perennial rhinitis.
Active substance: Azelastini hydrochloridum
Composition
1 dose of nasal spray contains 0.14 mg of azelastine hydrochloride
Action
Antihistamine, H1 receptor antagonist. After intranasal administration, it exerts mainly local effects, reaching concentrations in the blood about 8 times lower than after oral administration. The onset of action after intranasal administration occurs after 15 minutes and lasts for about 12 hours.
Dosage
Adults and children from 7 years of age: 1 dose of spray into each nostril twice a day, i.e. 0.56 mg daily.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to azelastine or other ingredients of the preparation.
- Liver or kidney failure.
- Children up to 6 years of age.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Notes on use
The maximum duration of use of the preparation is 6 months.
