What is AlergoTeva?
AlergoTeva 5 mg contains the active substance desloratadine, which has antihistamine effects . AlergoTeva is an antiallergic drug that does not cause drowsiness. It facilitates the control of allergic reactions and their symptoms.
When is AlergoTeva used?
AlergoTeva relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the nasal mucosa caused by an allergy, for example, hay fever or allergy to dust mites) in adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older. Symptoms include sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itchy palate, and itchy, red or watery eyes.
AlergoTeva is also used to relieve symptoms associated with hives (a skin condition caused by an allergy). Symptoms of this condition include itching and hives.
Relief of these symptoms lasts throughout the day, making it easier to return to normal daily activities and sleep.
If after 3 days there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, contact your doctor.

Dosage of AlergoTeva
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over
- The recommended dose is one tablet once daily with water, taken with or without food.
- This medicine is for oral use.
- The tablet should be swallowed whole.
Your doctor or pharmacist will determine the duration of treatment with AlergoTeva after determining the type of allergic rhinitis you have.
If you have intermittent allergic rhinitis (symptoms present for less than 4 days a week or for less than 4 weeks), your doctor or pharmacist will recommend a treatment regimen taking into account the past history of your disease.
If you have persistent allergic rhinitis (symptoms present for 4 or more days a week and for more than 4 weeks), your doctor or pharmacist may recommend a longer treatment.
In urticaria, the duration of treatment may vary from patient to patient, so you should follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist.
If after 3 days there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, contact your doctor.
Do not take AlergoTeva for longer than 10 days unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
