OtriAllergy Control 50 micrograms/dose, nasal spray, suspension, 60 doses
The active substance in OtriAllergy Control is fluticasone propionate, which belongs to a group of corticosteroid medicines that, when taken daily, reduces inflammation. This medicine helps control the body’s response to allergens (allergic triggers) in the environment.
When to use OtriAllergy Control?
OtriAllergy Control is used in adults aged 18 years and over to treat the symptoms of allergic rhinitis caused by pollen (hay fever) or other airborne allergens such as dust mites, mold spores or animal dander. For up to 24 hours after application, the medicine relieves symptoms such as sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, nasal discharge, itching and nasal congestion. The maximum therapeutic effect may occur after 3-4 days of continuous treatment. Therefore, to obtain full therapeutic benefits, regular use of the medicine is recommended. Treatment should only be used during the period of exposure to the allergen.
If after 7 days there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, contact your doctor.

Before using OtriAllergy Control:
OtriAllergy Control has a cap that protects the dispenser and helps keep it clean. Remove the cap before use.
If you are using OtriAllergy Control for the first time or if you have not used it for a long time, you should prepare it properly to make sure you get the full dose. Place your index and middle fingers on either side of the nozzle and your thumb on the bottom of the bottle. Keeping your thumb still, press the nozzle several times until you get a uniform mist. Do not point the nozzle at yourself or at other people.
If the dispenser is not working properly, clean it as described in the section “Cleaning the cap and dispenser”. Do not use a pin or other sharp instrument to unclog the dispenser as this may damage the dispenser mechanism.
How to use OtriAllergy Control:
- Blow your nose gently.
- Shake the container lightly and remove the cap.
- If OtriAllergy Control is used for the first time or if it has not been used for a long time, the dispenser should be primed by pressing the dispenser several times until a fine mist appears.
- Hold the container and close one nostril with your finger and place the nozzle in the other nostril. Tilt your head slightly forward and hold the nozzle vertically. Point the nozzle tip towards the outside of your nose, slightly away from the nasal septum.
- Breathe in through your nose and as you inhale, press the dispenser firmly as far as it will go, releasing a dose of medication into your nose.
- Exhale through your mouth.
- Steps 4 and 5 should be repeated to administer a second dose of the medication into the same nostril.
- Repeat steps 4, 5 and 6 to administer the medication into the other nostril.
- After administering doses of the nasal spray, wipe the dispenser with a clean cloth or handkerchief and replace the cap.
Cleaning the cap and dispenser:
- Remove the cap and dispenser.
- Soak the cap and dispenser in warm water for a few minutes, then rinse under running water.
- Shake out any remaining water from the cap and dispenser and leave to dry in a warm place. Do not dry at high temperature.
- Place the dispenser on the medication container.
- If necessary, press the dispenser several times until a fine mist is obtained. Place the cap on the medicine container.
- Do not use a pin or other sharp instrument to unclog the dispenser. This may damage the dispenser mechanism.
The maximum therapeutic effect of OtriAllergy Control may take 3-4 days to be achieved. To prevent symptoms, start using OtriAllergy Control before the expected period of exposure to the allergen.
