Ibuprofen APTEO MED contains ibuprofen, which belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that reduce pain and fever.
This medicine is used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain such as headache, period pain, toothache and fever.
Indications

If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 3 days for the treatment of fever and 4 days for the treatment of pain, you should talk to your doctor.
Active substance: Ibuprofen
Composition
The active substance of Ibuprofen APTEO MED is ibuprofen. Each coated tablet contains 200 mg of ibuprofen.
Other ingredients of the drug:
Tablet core: lactose monohydrate, corn starch, hypromellose, colloidal anhydrous silica, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate
Tablet coating: Opadry White 03G28692: hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E 171), macrogol 6000, macrogol 400
Dosage
Dosage of Ibuprofen APTEO MED in adults and adolescents weighing ≥ 40 kg (aged 12 years and over):
- Take 1 tablet (200 mg to 400 mg ibuprofen) with a glass of water, up to 3 times daily, as needed.
- Do not take more often than every 6 hours.
- Do not take more than 1200 mg of ibuprofen per day.
- The tablets are intended for short-term use only.
Adults: If this medicine is required for more than 3 days for fever or for more than 4 days for pain, or if symptoms worsen, consult a doctor.
Adolescents: If this medicine is required for longer than 3 days, or if symptoms worsen, consult a doctor.
Contraindications
- if you are allergic to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
- if you have had difficulty breathing, asthma, a runny nose, swelling or hives after taking acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) or other similar painkillers (NSAIDs),
- if you have a stomach ulcer (or have ever had two or more episodes of ulcer) or stomach bleeding,
- if you have previously had bleeding or perforation of the gastrointestinal tract after taking NSAIDs,
- if you have severe kidney, heart or liver failure,
- if you have bleeding problems, including bleeding in the brain (cerebrovascular bleeding),
- if you have unexplained disorders of the blood-forming system,
- in patients with significant dehydration (caused by vomiting, diarrhea or insufficient fluid intake),
- in patients in the last trimester of pregnancy.
