Hydrocortisonum Aflofarm is used topically for the following indications:

• atopic dermatitis (allergic eczema, hives);
• lupus erythematosus;
• erythema multiforme;
• lichen planus with intense itching;
• seborrheic dermatitis;
• various forms of eczema, especially lichenoid eczema;
• psoriasis of the scalp, long-standing psoriasis;
• prurigo;
• continued treatment with potent glucocorticosteroids;
• 1st and 2nd degree burns (including sunburn);
• alleviating reactions to insect bites.

The active substance is hydrocortisone acetate. 1 g of cream contains 5 mg of hydrocortisone acetate.

Other ingredients are: cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, propylene glycol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, macrogol cetostearyl ether, liquid paraffin, sorbitan stearate, white petrolatum, purified water.

• The medicine is intended for local use.
• Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected skin 2 or 3 times a day.
• Do not use on facial skin for longer than 3 days.
• Do not use on healthy skin.
• Do not use on large skin areas without prior consultation with your doctor.
• If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 7 days of using the medicine, contact your doctor.
• Do not use in children under 12 years of age without consulting a doctor.

When not to use Hydrocortisonum Aflofarm

• if you are allergic to hydrocortisone acetate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
• if you have a bacterial, viral, fungal or systemic mycosis infection;
• if you have acne vulgaris or rosacea;
• if you have skin atrophy (wasting away);
• if you have skin cancer or a pre-cancerous skin condition;
• if you have inflammation of the skin around your mouth;
• if you have tuberculous skin lesions;
• if the patient has open wounds and damaged skin.
