Grypostop is a multi-component drug with the following effects:
- analgesic, antipyretic, antitussive, unblocking the nasal passages and sinuses, reducing the amount of mucous secretion and congestion and swelling of the nasal mucosa.
Indications
Emergency treatment of symptoms of colds, flu, flu-like conditions (fever, runny nose, cough, headache, sore throat, muscle and joint pain).
Active substance: Dextromethorphani hydrobromidum , Paracetamol , Pseudoephedrini hydrochloridum
Composition
Active substances | paracetamol (Paracetamolum), pseudoephedrine hydrochloride (Pseudoephedrini hydrochloridum) and dextromethorphan hydrobromide (Dextromethorphani hydrobromidum).
1 film-coated tablet contains: 325 mg of paracetamol, 30 mg of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and 15 mg of dextromethorphan hydrobromide. |
Other ingredients | magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyvinylpyrrolidone (povidone), sodium starch glycolate (type A), potato starch, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, titanium dioxide. |
Dosage
The drug is administered orally.
The recommended dose is:
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age:
- 2 tablets, if necessary 3 to 4 times a day, not more often than every 4 hours.
- Do not take more than 8 tablets per day.
- Do not use for longer than 3 days without consulting your doctor.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
Do not use in children and adolescents under 12 years of age.
Contraindications
When not to use Grypostop
- if you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
- if you have severe liver or kidney failure,
- if you have anemia (low red blood cell count),
- if you are taking other medicines containing paracetamol, dextromethorphan, or pseudoephedrine or other sympathomimetics (such as nasal decongestants, appetite suppressants or amphetamine-like psychostimulants),
- if the patient is also taking medicines that inhibit a protein (enzyme) called monoamine oxidase
(so-called MAO inhibitors), such as phenelzine, isocarboxazid, selegiline, moclobemide. The drug should not be used for two weeks after discontinuing the use of drugs containing monoamine oxidase inhibitors,
- in children up to 12 years of age,
- during pregnancy and breastfeeding,
- if you have a cough with a lot of sputum,
- if you suffer from bronchial asthma and cough associated with bronchial asthma,
- if you have severe hypertension,
- if you have severe coronary heart disease,
- if you have cystic fibrosis (an inherited, genetic disease that causes, among other things, a tendency to develop bronchitis and pneumonia).
