Indications
Coldrex Junior C is an analgesic and antipyretic drug for oral use.
This medicine relieves cold symptoms in children aged 6-12 years.
Composition
- The active substances of the drug are: paracetamol, phenylephrine, ascorbic acid (vitamin C).
- 1 sachet contains 300 mg of paracetamol, 5 mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride and 20 mg of vitamin C.
- Excipients: sodium saccharin, sodium cyclamate, anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, corn starch, sucrose, colloidal anhydrous silica, lemon flavor 610399 E, curcumin (E100).
Dosage
- Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
- Use in children aged 6 to 12 years: 1 sachet every 4 hours, up to 4 times a day.
- The medicine should not be used more often than every 4 hours. It should not be used for longer than 3 days without consulting a doctor.
- Before administration, the powder should be dissolved in hot water.
- Pour the contents of one sachet into a glass, fill halfway with hot water, mix well and drink. Add cold water or sweeten if necessary.
Contraindications
When not to use Coldrex Junior C
- if you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
- if you suffer from severe liver or kidney failure,
- if you are taking zidovudine (used to treat HIV infection),
- while taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and within 2 weeks after stopping their use.
