Amorolak 50 mg/ml, medicated nail polish, 3 ml

Amorolak nail polish contains the active substance amorolfine. Amorolak is a broad-spectrum antifungal drug used to treat fungal nail infections (onychomycosis) caused by dermatophytes and yeasts.

Amorolak is used when the nail infection covers up to 80% of its surface (especially the outer one).

Fungal infections of nails (especially in the distal part, covering less than 80% of the nail surface) caused by dermatophytes and yeasts.

1 ml of medicinal nail polish contains 50 mg of amorolfine in the form of amorolfine hydrochloride.

Method of administration Cutaneous application.

Nail polish should be applied once or twice a week to the affected fingernails or toenails.

Treatment duration: 6 months (for fingernails) and 9 to 12 months (for toenails). It is recommended to evaluate the treatment at approximately 3-month intervals.

Elderly patients:

There are no special dosage recommendations for elderly patients.

The patient should use Amorolak as described below.

Warning:

Nail files used during treatment must not be used to care for healthy nails.

Instructions for use

1. Before applying the varnish for the first time, file down as much of the affected nail surface as possible. Before reusing the product, file down the nails again if necessary (e.g. if they become thickened). The package contains a set of disposable files.

2. To clean the nail surface, always use one of the gauze pads soaked in

alcohol, included in the package. This will also remove any varnish residue.

3. The medicated nail polish should be applied using one of the included reusable spatulas. The package includes a spatula holder to make it easier to apply the medicated nail polish. The reusable spatula should be placed in the spatula holder.

4. Use one of the reusable spatulas provided to pick up the varnish. To apply the varnish to each infected nail, dip the spatula in each time (with the uneven surface), without wiping it on the neck of the bottle (due to the risk of the cap sticking to the bottle).

5. Apply Amorolak varnish evenly to the entire surface of the diseased nail using a spatula.

6. The special shape of the spatula handle prevents the spatula from touching any surface (fungal spores remain on the spatula). You can put the spatula down for a while without worrying that the fungal spores will be transferred.

7. Immediately after each use, close the bottle tightly to prevent the solution from drying out. Leave the treated nails to dry for 5 minutes.

8. To reuse the spatula, clean it with an alcohol pad after use.

Since the Amorolak varnish layer can be damaged or worn off when in contact with organic solvents (cellulose thinners, turpentine derivatives, etc.), it is recommended to wear impermeable gloves when working with such substances to protect the varnish layer. Treatment should be continued without interruption until the nail regenerates and the affected areas are completely healed. This usually takes from six to twelve months, depending on the severity and location of the infection.

There is no experience with the use of the product in children.

Warning: Close the bottle tightly immediately after use.
