Agrocia, 50 mg/ml, skin solution, 60 ml

The active substance of Agrocia is minoxidil. Agrocia is used to treat male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia). Male pattern baldness can be recognized by baldness on the top of the head (in the tonsure area). Agrocia, 50 mg/mL, must not be used by women.

The active substance of the drug is minoxidil: each milliliter (mL) of solution contains 50 mg minoxidil. One mL of solution corresponds to 10 sprays. Other ingredients (excipients) are: ethanol 96%, propylene glycol and purified water.

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor, pharmacist or nurse has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.
The recommended daily dose is 1 mL of solution (10 sprays of the spray using the metering pump) twice daily.
Agrocia stabilises the process of male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) in the tonsure area of ​​3 to 10 cm in diameter on the scalp in men. Treatment can therefore stop the progression of androgenetic alopecia. The onset and degree of response to treatment vary from patient to patient, but individual response cannot be predicted due to the lack of available data.
Do not stop using the medicine too early, as stopping treatment may result in a return to the initial state of baldness before treatment was started within 3 to 4 months.

• Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the medicine.
• Before applying the medicine, dry your hair and scalp thoroughly, then apply the medicine, starting from the center of the treatment area. Do not apply the medicine to any other part of the body, because of the risk of hair growth in those areas.
• The medicine is applied using a dosing pump equipped with a dose button and an applicator with an extended tip. Before using the medicine, place the applicator, connected to the dosing pump, in the bottle. Please read the following instructions for attaching the applicator and placing the dosing pump in the bottle:
• Attach the applicator to the dosing pump: hold the pump firmly and press the top of the applicator.

As with all medicines, the degree of response to treatment varies from patient to patient, therefore, it may be necessary to use the medicine for 4 months to achieve noticeable hair growth. With long-term use, the effects of treatment remain unchanged over time. If no improvement in hair growth is observed after six months, treatment should be discontinued.
Dosage
For cutaneous use only. DO NOT swallow the medicine.
The recommended daily dose is 1 mL of solution (10 sprays of the spray using the metering pump) twice daily.
The maximum daily dose is 2 mL.
The recommended daily dose should be adhered to, regardless of the size of the scalp affected by hair loss.
If you feel that the effect of Agrocia is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Agrocia is a solution for the skin. The solution is clear, colorless or slightly yellowish, with an alcohol odor. The medicine is available in a HDPE bottle with a PP cap and a PP dosing pump, in a cardboard box. The package contains 60 ml.
