What is Venoruton forte and what is it used for?

Venoruton forte contains o-(beta-hydroxyethyl)-rutosides belonging to a group of drugs that protect veins (called systemic venous protectors). 

Venoruton forte stabilizes the venous wall , which leads to a reduction in vascular permeability and, consequently, to a reduction in edema.

In patients with varicose veins and other diseases of the vessels of the lower limbs, the capillaries are characterized by excessive exudation, which causes leg swelling . Venoruton forte reduces the permeability of the smallest blood vessels (capillaries) by reducing the permeability of the capillary wall to fluids and morphological elements of the blood.

• Symptomatic treatment of chronic venous insufficiency (varicose veins of the lower legs).
• Reduces swelling and relieves subjective symptoms such as: sensory disturbances, tingling, muscle pain and spasms, feeling of heavy, swollen and aching legs.
• The preparation can be used as a supporting agent for compression therapy (e.g. compression tights) in the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency.
• The product is also used in the symptomatic treatment of hemorrhoids and can be used as an adjunct in microangiopathies in the course of diabetes.

The active substance of the preparation has a protective effect on blood vessels, reducing the permeability of capillaries and increasing their resistance, eliminating swelling.

Venoruton forte dosage:

Initial dosage: 1 500 mg tablet twice daily until symptoms disappear completely, usually about 2 to 4 weeks.

However, it is recommended to continue the treatment as a maintenance therapy for a few more weeks to enhance the therapeutic effect, maintaining the same dosage or using a maintenance dosage of 1 tablet once a day.

Hypersensitivity to o-(ß-hydroxyethyl)rutosides or to any of the excipients.
