Zabak are eye drops in the form of a solution, without preservatives, containing ketotifen, which is an antiallergic agent .
Indications
ZABAK is used to treat the symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis.
Active substance: Ketotifeni hydrofumaras
Composition
The active substance is: ketotifen 0.25 mg/ml (as ketotifen hydrogen fumarate 0.345 mg/ml). The other ingredients are glycerol, sodium hydroxide (to adjust pH), water for injections.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Dosage:
Adults, the elderly, children over 3 years of age The recommended dose is 1 drop in the affected eye or eyes twice daily (morning and evening).
Method of administration:
Do not inject, do not swallow. This medicine is intended for administration into the eye (ocular administration). Before first use, discard the first 5 drops.
Then, each time you use the product:
- Wash your hands thoroughly before using the product.
- To avoid infection, do not touch your eye, eyelid or other surfaces with the dropper tip.
- Instill 1 drop into eye(s) while looking up and gently pulling the lower eyelid down.
- Close the bottle after use.
If you feel that the effect of Zabak is too strong or too weak, or if you experience any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
If you forget to use Zabak:
Apply the drops as soon as possible, then go back to the recommended dosing schedule. Make sure that the drop hits your eye. Do not apply a double dose to make up for a missed dose. If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Contraindications
If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to ketotifen (the active substance) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Zabak is a solution of eye drops available in a 5 ml multi-dose bottle (at least 150 preservative-free drops). It is a colorless to slightly brownish-yellow liquid.
