Indications:

As an aid in the treatment of:

• acute inflammation of the nasal mucosa of viral or bacterial origin;
• acute or chronic exacerbation of paranasal sinusitis;
• allergic rhinitis;
• acute otitis media – to unblock the Eustachian tube.

Composition

1 dose contains 0.1 mg of xylometazoline hydrochloride.

Dosage

A preparation for spraying only into the nasal cavity (also in inflammation of the Eustachian tube).

During application, hold the bottle vertically, with the dispenser facing upwards.

Adults and children over 12 years of age :

• 1 dose of gel into each nostril every 8 – 10 hours.

Do not use larger doses or more often than recommended.

Xylogel 0.1% should be administered for no longer than 3 – 5 days.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to xylometazoline or any of the other ingredients of the drug.
• Increased intraocular pressure, especially in narrow-angle glaucoma.
• Inflammations of the nasal mucosa: chronic inflammation with little or no discharge, dry atrophic inflammation, vasomotor inflammation, inflammation caused by hypersensitive blood vessels of the nose, etc.
• Concomitant use (or use within 2 weeks preceding the start of treatment) of MAO inhibitors or tricyclic antidepressants.
• Concurrent therapy with other medicinal products that may increase blood pressure.
• Previous brain surgery performed through the nose or mouth.
• Concomitant diseases: hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, closed-angle glaucoma, prostatic hyperplasia, hyperthyroidism.
• Age under 10 years.
