Strepsils Intensive orange sugar-free, for sore throat, 24 hard lozenges

Strepsils Intensive orange sugar free is indicated for short-term symptomatic treatment of sore throat. Strepsils Intensive sugar free orange contains flurbiprofen – a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which:

• works on the main cause of sore throat – inflammation,
• penetrates deep into the layers of throat tissue,
• relieves symptoms of inflammation such as: pain, difficulty swallowing, throat swelling.

The drug has a strong analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect in the treatment of sore throat. It is intended for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over. Lozenges are recommended in cases of ailments caused by both viruses and bacteria.

The soothing and coating effect of the drug begins as early as the second minute after application and lasts up to 4 hours.

Strepsils Intensive sugar-free orange is indicated for the short-term symptomatic treatment of sore throat.

The active substance is flurbiprofen. One hard lozenge contains 8.75 mg of flurbiprofen.

The other ingredients of the drug are: macrogol 300, potassium hydroxide, orange flavour (main ingredient: glycerol triacetate (triacetin)), levomenthol, acesulfame potassium, liquid maltitol, isomalt.

• One lozenge every 3 to 6 hours as needed.
• The lozenge should be sucked slowly. The position of the lozenge in the mouth should be changed while sucking to avoid local irritation.
• Do not use more than 5 hard lozenges per day.
• Do not use in children under 12 years of age.
• The medicine is intended for short-term use only.
• Using the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible period of time reduces the risk of side effects. If symptoms persist or new ones appear despite taking the medicine, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
• The use of Strepsils Intensive sugar free orange should not last longer than 3 days, unless your doctor recommends otherwise.

Always use Strepsils Intensive Sugar Free Orange exactly as described or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

• if you are allergic to flurbiprofen, acetylsalicylic acid, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
• in patients with existing or previous gastric and/or duodenal ulcer, with severe colitis,
• in patients who have ever had allergy symptoms such as nasal discharge (rhinitis), angioedema, difficulty breathing (bronchial asthma), rash after taking acetylsalicylic acid or any non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug,
• in patients with gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation, bleeding disorders or blood formation disorders related to previous NSAID therapy,
• in patients taking other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs at the same time (including cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitors such as celecoxib),
• in patients in the third trimester of pregnancy,
• in patients with severe heart, liver or kidney failure.
