Description

What is Solvetusan and how does it work?

Solvetusan is a drug that contains the active substance levodropropizine, which has antitussive and bronchospasm-relieving effects.

The drug effectively suppresses cough of various origins, such as cough associated with upper and lower respiratory tract infections, whooping cough, or cough in the course of lung cancer.

Solvetusan tablets are indicated for use in adults and children weighing more than 30 kg. If after 7 days there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, you should contact your doctor.

What are the indications for use of Solvetusan?

Symptomatic treatment of nonproductive (dry) cough.

Active substance: Levodropropizinum

Composition of Solvetusan tablets

The active substance of the drug is levodropropizine. Each tablet contains 60 mg of levodropropizine.

The other ingredients are: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate (type A), magnesium stearate.

How to dose and use Solvetusan tablets?

  • Do not take Solvetusan for more than 7 days without consulting your doctor.
  • Adults and children weighing more than 30 kg: 1 tablet up to 3 times daily at least 6 hours apart.
  • Solvetusan should be taken orally.
  • The score line on the tablet is only to facilitate breaking for easier swallowing, not to divide it into equal doses.
  • Treatment should be continued until the cough subsides or as directed by your doctor.
  • In any case, if the cough does not subside after 7 days of treatment, you should stop taking the medicine and consult a doctor. It should be remembered that cough is a symptom of a disease and the disease that causes it should be recognized and then treated.

Always take Solvetusan exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

  • if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
