Description

Sinupret drops cause mucus thinning, giving a reducing effect on the swelling of the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract. Sinupret is used as a support in acute and chronic sinusitis.

Sinupret drops are a traditionally used drug of plant origin in the form of oral drops with a secretolytic effect.

Sinupret drops can be used for sinus problems in both adults and children over 6 years of age.

Indications

Supportive in acute and chronic sinusitis.

Active substance: Gentianae radix , Primulae flos , Rumicis herba , Sambuci flos , Verbenae officinalis herba

Composition

100 g drops contain: 29 g of extract (drug/extract ratio 1:11) consisting of: Gentianae radix (gentian root), Primulae flos cum calycibus (primrose flower with calyx), Rumicis herba (sorrel herb), Sambuci flos (elder flower), Verbenae herba (verbena herb), in a ratio of 1:3:3:3:3, extracted with ethanol (59% v/v).

Dosage

The usual dose of Sinupret is:

Adults: orally, usually 3 times a day 50 drops, which corresponds to 3.1 ml in a single dose.
School children (from 6 years): orally, usually 3 times a day 25 drops, which corresponds to 1.55 ml in a single dose.

In special cases, the dose can be doubled.
Sinupret oral drops can be administered after dissolving in a small amount of liquid or without dissolving.
It is recommended to drink more fluids during use.
To facilitate dosing, the bottle should be held in a vertical position

Use of the drug in children and adolescents

You should tell your doctor about all medicines you are taking recently, including those obtained without a prescription. It is not recommended to use other expectorants at the same time.

Contraindications

When not to use Sinupret

  • if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to gentian root, primrose flower or calyx, sorrel herb, elderberry flower, verbena herb or any of the other ingredients of Sinupret,
  • if you have stomach ulcers, duodenal ulcers or gastric hyperacidity.

Notes on use

The medicine contains 19% v/v ethanol (alcohol). It may be harmful to people addicted to alcohol. This should be taken into account in pregnant or breastfeeding women and high-risk groups such as people with liver disease, epilepsy, trauma or brain disease. Due to the alcohol content, the medicine should not be used in children under 6 years of age.
