Description

What is Sinupret and how does it work?

Sinupret is a traditionally used herbal medicine containing gentian root, primrose flower with calyx, sorrel herb, elderberry flower and verbena herb – with secretolytic effects. Sinupret causes mucus to thin , which reduces swelling in the upper respiratory tract.

The drug is used as a supportive treatment for acute and chronic sinusitis in adults and children over 6 years of age.

Indications

Acute and chronic sinusitis.

Active substance: Gentianae radix , Primulae flos , Rumicis herba , Sambuci flos , Verbenae officinalis herba

Sinupret composition

The active substances of Sinupret are: gentian root, primrose flower with calyx, sorrel herb, elderberry flower, verbena herb.

Other ingredients:

Coated tablet core ingredients: Gelatin, lactose monohydrate, potato starch, colloidal anhydrous silica, sorbitol, E420 stearic acid, purified water.

Coated tablet coating ingredients: basic butylated methacrylate copolymer, calcium carbonate, purified castor oil, chlorophyllin copper complex E 141, dextrin, liquid glucose (dry substance), indigo carmine aluminum lake E 132, light magnesium oxide, corn starch, montan wax, riboflavin E101, shellac, sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide.

1 tablet contains: 6 mg of gentian root (Gentianae radix), 18 mg of primrose flower with calyx (Primulae flos cum calycibus), 18 mg of elderberry flower (Sambuci flos), 18 mg of verbena herb (Verbenae herba), 18 mg of sorrel herb (Rumicis herba).

How to dose Sinupret?

The usual dose of Sinupret is:

  • Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: orally 2 coated tablets of Sinupret 3 times a day.
  • Children aged 6 to 11 years: orally 1 coated tablet of Sinupret 3 times a day.

In special cases the dose may be doubled.

Sinupret tablets should be swallowed whole with a small amount of water.

When using Sinupret, as with other drugs with secretolytic action, it is recommended to drink more fluids.

If there is no improvement or the patient feels worse after 7-14 days, contact your doctor.

When should you not use Sinupret?

Do not take Sinupret tablets if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to gentian root, primrose flower or calyx, sorrel herb, elderberry flower, verbena herb or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Contents: Sinupret coated tablets are packed in 25 pieces in a blister made of PVC/PVDC and Al foil. In a single cardboard box with a print, 2 blisters are placed together with a leaflet. The package contains 50 tablets.
