SENTINO is a medicine containing the active substance doxylamine hydrosuccinate. Doxylamine belongs to the group of antihistamines with a sedative effect.

Indications

The drug is indicated for short-term, symptomatic treatment of sporadic insomnia in adults over 18 years of age, especially in the case of:

• difficulty falling asleep,
• frequent night awakenings,
• waking up early in the morning due to stress or time zone changes.

Sleep is extremely important. Sleep disorders can negatively affect physiological processes and lead to decreased psychophysical efficiency. Insomnia occurs when: the time to fall asleep exceeds half an hour, the total number of awakenings during the night lasts longer than half an hour, such disruption occurs on at least three nights in a given week and poor sleep quality causes fatigue or decreased psychophysical efficiency during the day.

Temporarily occurring sleep disturbances usually last several days and are related to certain factors, such as illness, anxiety, noise, inappropriate ambient temperature or time zone changes.
