Neosine 500 mg is a tablet medicine intended for adults and children over 1 year of age. Neosine 500 mg has antiviral properties and increases the body’s immunity (stimulates the functioning of the immune system). The active substance in Neosine is pranobex inosine, which inhibits the multiplication of Herpes pathogenic viruses. Neosine 500 mg can be used as an adjunct in immunocompromised people as well as for treatment herpes lips and facial skin.
Indications
Neosine 500 mg is used as an adjunct:
- in immunocompromised persons, in cases of recurrent upper respiratory tract infections, the,
- for the treatment of cold sores and facial skin caused by the herpes simplex( virus )Herpes simplex<TAG1>.
Composition
1 tablet contains:
- pranobex inosines 500 mg,
- the other ingredients are: wheat starch, mannitol, povidone 30, magnesium stearate.
How to use Neosine 500 mg?
Always take Neosine 500 mg exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
- Adults of which elderly (over 65 years): the recommended dose is 50 mg/kg body weight per day – usually 1 g, i.e. 2 tablets 3 times a day.
- Do not take more than 8 tablets a day.
- Children over 1 year of age: the recommended dose is 50 mg per kg body weight per day, administered in several divided doses.
- Do not take more than 4 tablets a day.
- For children who cannot swallow tablets, it is recommended to administer Neosine in syrup.
- The drug usually takes 5 to 14 days to use.
- After the symptoms of the disease disappear, it is recommended to take the drug for another 1 to 2 days.
Storage
Keep the medicine out of the sight and reach of children, below 25 ̄c, in the original packaging.
Side effects
Neosine forte, like any other medicine, can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
