Neoazarina is a drug with antitussive properties .
Indications for use of Neoazarina
In severe paroxysmal (especially nocturnal) coughing attacks. In inflammations of the upper respiratory tract.
Active substance: Codeini phosphas , Thymi herba
Composition of Neoazarina tablets
The active substances of the drug are: codeine phosphate hemihydrate (Codeini phosphas hemihydricus) 10 mg and powdered thyme herb (Thymi herba pulveratum) 316 mg.
Excipients: lactose monohydrate, potato starch, povidone K-30, macrogol 6000, talc, anise essential oil.
Dosage and use of Neoazarina tablets
- Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 1 to 2 tablets 3 times a day.
- Children under 12 years of age: Neoazarina is contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.
- Adolescents aged 12 to 18 years: Neoazarina is not recommended for use in adolescents aged 12 to 18 years with respiratory disorders.
- Administer the medicine orally.
Always use Neoazarina exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Contraindications to the use of Neoazarina
- if you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
- if the patient is under 12 years of age;
- if you know that you metabolize codeine to morphine very rapidly;
- if you are breastfeeding.
Neoazarina should not be used in cases of acute respiratory failure, acute attacks of bronchial asthma, breathing disorders and chronic constipation.
It is not recommended to use the drug for longer than 7 days or to exceed the recommended doses due to the possibility of addiction.
