Fever of various origins (also during viral infections and post-vaccination reactions).

Pain of various origins of mild to moderate intensity:

• headache, throat and muscle pain, e.g. in the course of viral infections,
• muscle, joint and bone pain due to injuries to the musculoskeletal system (strains, sprains)
• pain due to soft tissue injuries, post-operative pain,
• toothache, pain after dental procedures, pain due to teething,
• headaches,
• earaches occurring in inflammation of the middle ear,

Dosage:

For oral administration.

The package includes a dispenser in the form of a 5 ml syringe with a scale to facilitate dosing.

Pain and fever: the daily dose of Ibuprom dla Dzieci Forte is 20 to 30 mg/kg body weight in divided doses.

The dosing regimen using the dispenser provided in the package can be achieved as follows:

• Infants from 3 to 6 months (5 – 7.6 kg): 1.25 ml 3 times a day (equivalent to 150 mg ibuprofen/day).
• Infants from 6 to 12 months (7.7 – 9 kg): 1.25 ml 3 to 4 times a day (equivalent to 150-200 mg ibuprofen/day).
• Children from 1 to 3 years (10-15 kg): 2.5 ml 3 times a day (equivalent to 300 mg ibuprofen/day).
• Children from 4 to 6 years (16-20 kg): 3.75 ml 3 times a day (equivalent to 450 mg ibuprofen/day).
• Children from 7 to 9 years (21-29 kg): 5 ml 3 times a day (equivalent to 600 mg ibuprofen/day).
• Children from 10 to 12 years (30-40 kg): 7.5 ml 3 times a day (equivalent to 900 mg ibuprofen/day).
• Adults and children over 12 years of age: the recommended dose for symptomatic treatment of pain and fever is 10 ml 3 times a day until the symptoms disappear.

There should be an interval of 6 to 8 hours between doses.

Shake before use.

The medicinal product may be administered directly or dissolved in water or juice.

In people with a sensitive digestive tract, it is recommended to take the medicinal product during a meal or with milk.

Contraindications:

Do not use in patients who have ever had allergy symptoms in the form of a runny nose, hives or bronchial asthma after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or in combination with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Do not use in the third trimester of pregnancy and in active peptic ulcer disease.

Active substance: Ibuprofen 200 mg / 5 ml;

Excipients: sodium benzoate (E 211), anhydrous citric acid, sodium citrate, sodium saccharin, sodium chloride, hypromellose 15 cP, xanthan gum, liquid maltitol, glycerol, thaumatin (E 957),

strawberry flavor, purified water.

Properties

Ibuprofen has antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. The analgesic and antipyretic effects of ibuprofen begin within 30 minutes of taking the medicinal product.

After oral administration, ibuprofen is partially absorbed in the stomach and then completely in the small intestine. After metabolism in the liver, the pharmacologically inactive metabolites are completely excreted.
