Indications

• Groprinosin Forte is administered as a supporting agent in people with reduced immunity during recurrent upper respiratory tract infections.
• The drug is also indicated for the treatment of herpes simplex if it has been previously diagnosed.
• Product for short-term use.

Composition

• The active substance of the drug is inosine pranobex (a complex containing inosine and 2-hydroxypropyldimethylammonium 4-acetamidobenzoate in a molar ratio of 1:3).
• 1 tablet contains 1000 mg of inosine pranobex.
• Excipients: potato starch, povidone K-25, magnesium stearate.

Dosage

• The drug is administered orally, with an appropriate amount of fluid.
• The recommended dosage of Groprinosin Forte in children over 1 year of age and adults is 50 mg of the drug per kg of the patient’s body weight.
• In adults, it is usually 1 tablet 3 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 4 tablets.
• Treatment usually lasts from 5 to 14 days, and the medication should be continued for a day or two after symptoms have subsided.

Contraindications

• Do not use Groprinosin Forte in patients who are allergic to inosine pranobex or any of the other ingredients of the drug.
• Contraindications to the use of Groprinosin Forte include an attack of gout or increased concentration of uric acid in the blood.
