What does Fipron work for?

✅ Prevention and control of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis) 

✅ Treatment of flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) in cats after prior diagnosis of the disease by a veterinarian.

✅ Prevention and control of tick (Ixodes spp.) and lice (Felicola subrostratus) infestations in cats.

• One dose provides protection against flea infestations for up to 5 weeks.
• The product is effective against ticks for a period of 3 to 4 weeks.

CONTENT OF ACTIVE SUBSTANCES AND OTHER INGREDIENTS

1 tube (0.5 ml) contains:

• Active substance:
• Fipronil 50.00 mg

Excipients:

• Butylhydroxyanisole (E320) 0.10 mg
• Butylhydroxytoluene (E321) 0.05 mg

CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Due to lack of available data, do not use in cats less than 8 weeks of age and/or weighing less than 1 kg.
• Do not use in sick (systemic disease, fever) or convalescent animals.
• Do not use in rabbits due to the possibility of a severe adverse reaction or even death of the animal.
• Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients.

DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

• Route of administration: spotting on the skin surface.
• Dosage: apply the contents of 1 tube (0.5 ml) to the skin between the shoulder blades.
• Method of administration: hold the tube with the neck up. Tap the neck several times with your finger so that the contents of the liquid flow into the tube reservoir. Break off the tip with a twisting motion. Part the animal’s hair at the withers between the shoulder blades so that the skin is visible. Place the neck of the tube on the skin and press the tube to apply the entire contents directly to the skin.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CORRECT ADMINISTRATION

• The minimum period between two applications of the product is 4 weeks.
• In case of treatment of allergic dermatitis caused by Ctenocephalides felis flea invasion, it is recommended to repeat the treatment after 4 weeks.

1. Is it allowed to bathe the pet while administering flea and tick drops?

The pet must not be bathed for 48 hours before or 48 hours after administering the deworming drops.

2. How to administer flea and tick drops?

Hold the pipette vertically. Tap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that the contents remain in the main body of the pipette. Snap off the tip. Part the fur on the animal’s back at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the pipette tip on the skin and squeeze the pipette several times to completely empty the contents directly onto the skin in one place.
